Friday, Home Delivered meals to residents 60 years and older
living in eastern Knox county—East Knox and Danville school
district. Call 599-9023 to sign up or more information. Meals
prepared in the licensed kitchen of Danville United Methodist
Church and sponsored by Sanctuary Community Action

Monday through
Friday meals prepared and served ‘on site’ at the Danville
United Methodist Church dining area for area residents 60 years
and older. Reservations must be received 24 hours in advance.
Please contact the kitchen at 599-9023 and leave a message if
necessary.
Funding for meals provided in whole or in part through
Senior Services Levy.
June
5—Annual Plant and Bake Sale fundraiser event—9am
to 12 noon at St. Luke Community Center parking lot.
Flowers, vegetable plants, pine trees, shrub, annuals and
perennials. Wonderful baked items from area kitchens. All
proceeds benefit the operating fund of Sanctuary Community
Action. (in the event of inclement weather, the activities
will be held inside the community center)

10---WIC Clinic, 9am to
5pm--
WIC is a nutrition education program providing healthy
supplemental foods for expectant and/or nursing mothers as well
as families with infants and children up to age 5 who live in
Knox county and meet the liberal income guidelines. Please
contact the Health Dept (392-2200) to schedule for the WIC
clinic at The Sanctuary. Please mention the Danville site when
scheduling.

10-- Free Infant and Childhood Immunizations 3pm to 5pm
No appointment is
necessary for immunizations.
Please bring your child’s immunization record. Chicken Pox
vaccinations are available on a walk-in basis. Suggested
donation of $10 per visit.

11—Women’s Clinic (Pap Screenings and Mammograms) 8am to
2pm—KnoHoCo Women’s Health Pap Tests and Clinical Breast Exams,
8am to 2pm… KnoHoCo
Women’s Health Nurse practitioner, Patty Sprang, will staff the
clinic for Pap tests and clinical Breast Exam. A nominal fee of
$35 for self pay & Accepting medical card. Contact The
Sanctuary at 740-599-7224 for more information and an
appointment.. Mammo Van from Boardman, Ohio, will be
providing the mammograms. Accepting Insurance, Medicare,
Medical Card and Self Pay. Contact The Sanctuary 599-7224 to
schedule or more information. (United Way of Knox County has
awarded The Sanctuary a financial grant to assist ladies who do
not have other forms of financial assistance with Pap and
mammogram fees.)

Good nutrition starting with pregnancy will provide the best
possible start for babies and children to grow up strong and
healthy. Expectant and nursing mothers, non-nursing mothers with
a baby under 6 months of age, infants and children up to 5 years
of age are eligible if you live in Knox county and meet the
liberal income guidelines. Contact the Health Dept (392-2200) to
determine income eligibility.

26---2:30pm to 4:30pm--Southeastern Ohio Legal.
Legal help without attorney fees for people with income less
than 125% of the poverty level and limited savings and assets.
Assistance with public benefits, family problems, housing,
health care, consumer problems, utilities, to mention a few. No
income requirement for individuals over 65 years of age. Contact
