 May--every Monday & Tuesday---ABLE/GED classes, 6pm to 8pm---2nd floor classroom that is designed for education and is handicap accessible. Now is the time to work toward your high school equivalent diploma.  Knox County Career Center Adult Education will be providing instructors for the classes. Please contact their office at 740-694-1261 to schedule or more information. Accepting most insurances—check with your Medicaid Obama Care provider to verify coverage

 May--Every Friday—Rebecca Metcalf, certified nurse practitioner 9am to 2pm…general medical care for children and adults. Self pay only. Contact her at 740-427-2414 to schedule. Will do home visits. Please leave a message and she will return your call.

 May 2 & May 23—Massage Therapy-- Kate Meyers of “Top Notch Hands Massage Therapy” will be available all day. Call Kate at 740-504-0044 to schedule or more information. Walk-ins welcome and appointments encouraged.  Free consultations regarding service treatment times and costs

 May 10—Prenatal clinic for Amish Ladies…contact Dr. Nolan Byler (330-359-5489) or Dr. Brent Lehman (330-359-5147) to schedule. 

 May 12---WIC Clinic, 9am to 5pm-- WIC is a nutrition education program providing healthy supplemental foods for expectant and/or nursing mothers as well as families with infants and children up to age 5 who live in Knox county and meet the liberal income guidelines. Please contact the Health Dept (740-392-2200) to schedule for the WIC clinic at The Sanctuary. Please mention the Danville site when scheduling.

 May 12-- Infant and Childhood Immunizations 3pm to 5pm Appointments are requested. Call The Sanctuary at 740-599-7224 to schedule.  Please bring your child’s immunization record. Chicken Pox vaccinations are available. Suggested donation of $10 per visit but no child will be denied immunizations.  

 May 19---Danville Area Senior Citizens Luncheon and program, 12 noon, St Luke Community Center—ladies from Greer Wesleyan, Danville Methodist, Wesley Chapel & Brinkhaven Church of Christ & North Bend Brethern churches will be preparing and serving a delicious noontime Ham dinner.  Suggested donation of $6; reservations due by Monday, May 16.  Please contact Barb Mickley (740-599-7102 or 740-599-7224) or Marty Neighbarger (740-599-2930). Jon Minard, The Eagle Man, will be sharing the latest information on Bald Eagles in Eastern Knox County.  Jon is truly the ‘Eagle Man’ of Knox County.
